Job Description Summary:
Focus Partners is seeking a strategic and hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect to join the new Marketing Technology team. This is an ideal opportunity for a technologist who enjoys balancing solution architecture and technical development to drive measurable business results.Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing Technology, this role will serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, helping lead the transformation of an enterprise-grade Salesforce marketing ecosystem that includes Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and Data 360.
The successful candidate will partner with CRM and Digital Marketing to design marketing automation capabilities to enable client acquisition, client communications, content personalization, and relationship deepening throughout the client lifecycle. Longer term, the candidate will collaborate with leadership to design the roadmap to expand Salesforce Marketing Cloud to additional growth channels, business functions and business units.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and administration for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem to drive marketing and business impact
Establish design standards, best practices, and development guidelines for Salesforce Marketing Cloud to enable scalability, maintainability, security, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with Marketing, Client Development and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions for client acquisition, lead generation, lead nurturing, marketing automation, journey orchestration, personalization, audience segmentation, campaign activation, and sales enablement
Translate business goals and requirements into scalable technical designs, specifications, artifacts and LOE estimates
Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide guidance to Digital Marketing campaign managers
Provide technical leadership and development for complex journeys, automations, integrations, and custom solutions for CloudPages, landing pages, and multi-step web forms
Support end-to-end UAT, product releases and troubleshooting
Collaborate with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Data 360 architects and developers to design optimal integrations across the Salesforce ecosystem
Partner with enterprise data teams to establish scalable data models and activation frameworks to support expansion of Snowflake and Salesforce Data 360 capabilities
Define standards and processes for subscriber management, consent management, suppression strategies, and deliverability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain sender reputation
Iteratively improve Marketing Cloud data model and design reusable migration frameworks and integration patterns that support future acquisitions, business-unit and business-line expansion, and enterprise growth while minimizing technical debt
Stay current on evolving Marketing Cloud capabilities and identify opportunities for product and feature expansion to support additional business needs and use cases
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
7-10 years of hands-on technical experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including architecture, solution design, configuration and integrations with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Financial Services Cloud
Experience with administration and configuration of multiple Marketing Cloud business units, multi-org setup, package manager and AppExchange products
Proven track record of successfully leading Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations, migrations and/or expansions across multiple business units
Experience with AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and custom API integrations
Experience developing custom CloudPages, landing pages, multi-page web forms, SFTP shares and automations
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for subscriber management, consent management and data privacy
Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated thought leadership and growth mindset to drive innovation

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant
Salesforce Administrator Cerification
Experience with Snowflake and/or CDPs for identity resolution and Client 360
Experience with wealth management, financial services, fintech, banking, or professional services organizations
This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $140,000 –$150,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
