Agency Securities Finance is a global trading desk within Securities Services that lends equity and fixed income securities on behalf of asset owners to broker-dealers, supporting their proprietary and client trading strategies. When securities need to be borrowed, the Financing Desk negotiates the loan fee based on supply and demand dynamics and the underlying trade rationale. The group’s objective is to generate incremental income for participating clients while also producing fee income for the firm. With five trading desks globally, JPMorganChase provides near-24-hour coverage across 38 markets.
The Agency Securities Finance Trading & Analytics team develops client, trading, and financial resource analytics used to price securities lending portfolios and transactions. The team monitors ongoing client and counterparty performance and delivers revenue reporting, attribution, and forecasting across business activity. These metrics are used to continuously refine pricing models, build new data-driven matrices, and produce accurate, competitive securities lending revenue forecasts—while improving overall efficiency and return on capital.
The team also owns Financial Resource Management for the business, including capital and balance-sheet metrics such as RWA, CCAR/SCB, and overall capital footprint.
