About The Role

We are looking for bright, energetic and highly motivated individuals to join our growing regional Finance team.

The successful candidate will need to apply strong accounting and taxation knowledge to complete month end close process and assist in statutory audits and tax filings. The candidate will have strong analytic skills to perform analysis on financial information and able to generate accurate management reports to facilitate the data analysis.

This position reports to the Regional Finance Manager and will be working closely as a team member of the general accounting team. This position will liaise/interact closely with business segments and other APAC offices and communicate well with external professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and/or review month-end close journals for Asia entities.

  • Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules on a monthly basis and income tax computation on quarterly basis.

  • Review client’s contracts to ensure proper project setup in systems and accurate revenue recognition.

  • Perform monthly analytical reviews on financial results.

  • Collaborate with the US head office for any financial reporting requirements.

  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents to complete statutory audits and regulatory tax filings such as GST/VAT, withholding tax, income tax of Asia entities.

  • Assist in maintaining internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements. Participate in other ad-hoc duties or projects for the Asia Region as required.

  • Respond to enquiries from and provide guidance to the offices across the Asia Region.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members, fostering effective and efficient work practices while supporting their professional development.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in Hong Kong

  • Degree holder majoring in Accountancy or other relevant disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant accounting / audit experiences. Candidates with less experience would be considered as Accountant.

  • Qualified accountant is preferred

  • MNC and/or Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.

  • High proficiency in Excel (Vlookup, pivot table, etc) and knowledge in Macro or Power BI would be advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, able to handle large volume of data.

  • Strong logical thinking with an investigative mindset.

  • Good written skills in English and communication skills in both English and Mandarin/Cantonese.

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

  • Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong accounting and taxation knowledge in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore and other Asian countries would be advantageous.

  • Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates who are available immediately.
