The Wealth Management & Insurance division covers three businesses in all Santander Group countries: Insurance, Asset Management and Private Banking. We work to provide the best solutions to our clients in these three businesses in the 10 countries where we are present.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Wealth Management & Insurance is looking for a Senior AI Transformation based out of Madrid.
You will partner with business, Data & AI, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Operations teams to identify high-value AI opportunities, redesign processes, embed safe and effective prompting practices, and scale solutions such as Copilot, agents and AI-enabled automation across Private Banking, Asset Management, Insurance and Support Functions.

Define and execute AI transformation plans for one or more WM&I domains, ensuring alignment with business priorities, platform strategy and governance expectations.
Identify, qualify and prioritise AI use cases across the wealth lifecycle, including banker productivity, advisory support, knowledge management, document automation, operational efficiency and control enhancements.
Translate business pain points into actionable AI solutions, including prompt patterns, Copilot experiences, agent workflows, automation playbooks and adoption journeys.
Lead discovery workshops with senior stakeholders and frontline teams to map activities, redesign processes and define measurable AI-enabled target ways of working.
Build business cases, adoption roadmaps and KPI frameworks to evidence efficiency, revenue, risk reduction, user adoption and quality impacts.
Coordinate delivery with Data & AI, Engineering, Cyber, Risk, Compliance, Legal and vendor teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and reusable across geographies.
Act as a trusted advisor to WM&I leaders on AI adoption, prompt engineering, change management and responsible AI practices, while developing enablement materials, communities of practice and training approaches that accelerate adoption.

Professional Experience
Typically 6+ years of experience in business transformation, management consulting, product management, data, technology, operations or innovation within financial services or another regulated environment (Required)
Proven experience translating business needs into technology-enabled transformation initiatives and managing senior stakeholders across multiple functions (Required)
Hands-on experience using generative AI tools, copilots, automation platforms, data products or digital productivity solutions in a business context, including defining KPIs, adoption metrics, business cases and impact reporting (Preferred)
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field (Required)
Postgraduate qualification in Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Strategy or Financial Services (Preferred)
Languages
Fluent English (Required)
Fluent Spanish and/or additional languages relevant to a global WM&I environment (Preferred)
Hard Skills
Strong understanding of Generative AI, Copilot-style productivity tools, agentic workflows, prompt engineering and AI adoption patterns (Required)
Ability to map processes, identify automation opportunities, redesign operating models and define business cases, prioritisation criteria and KPI frameworks for AI-enabled transformation (Required)
Working knowledge of responsible AI, data protection, cyber, third-party and model governance considerations in a regulated environment; experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI-based platforms, Power Platform or workflow automation is preferred (Preferred)
Soft Skills
Excellent senior stakeholder management, executive communication and facilitation skills
Strong delivery discipline and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across business, technology and control functions from ideation through measurable adoption
Strategic judgement, autonomy, ownership and ability to structure ambiguity, prioritise competing demands and influence senior decision-makers
