Bring your expertise to shape seamless digital journeys by turning complex, cross-functional needs into resilient, well-controlled operations with measurable outcomes.

As a Process Engineering Senior Associate in the Digital Banking team within International Consumer Bank, you design and implement end-to-end processes that enable new products, features, and customer journeys. You partner across Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Controls to translate ambiguity into clear target states with embedded risk and control intent. You build practical, automated, auditable processes that improve customer experience, reduce manual effort, and lower operational risk.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end process design from early concept through implementation, adoption, and stabilization for new and evolving customer journeys.
  • Design and stand up future-state processes to support new products, features, and digital journeys as the business scales.
  • Execute impact assessments for product launches to identify downstream operational, process, risk, and control implications and drive required changes.
  • Perform structured current-state analysis (data, volumes, exceptions, handoffs, pain points, and controls) and translate findings into practical target-state recommendations.
  • Quantify opportunities and outcomes (for example, straight-through processing, cycle time reduction, reduced exception rates, improved controls) and track delivery to measurable results.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions and walkthroughs to align on scope, target state, trade-offs, sequencing, and decisions.
  • Obtain formal Operations sign-off on process maps and target-state recommendations, managing dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations.
  • Prepare clear materials and present in governance forums, articulating decisions required, key risks, and delivery progress.
  • Create and maintain end-to-end process maps in Signavio (or equivalent), including journeys, exception paths, ownership, decision points, and control points.
  • Maintain clear linkages between process steps, risks, and controls so designs are implementable and auditable.
  • Identify workflow and case management optimization opportunities and translate them into delivery items (for example, Jira epics and stories) with defined scope, outcomes, and acceptance criteria.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering, business process management, or transformation.
  • Experience in United Kingdom and European Union retail banking, including digital banking channels and domains such as onboarding, payments, lending, servicing, cards, fraud, or financial crime.
  • Strong process analysis skills, including assessment of volumes, exceptions, failure demand, handoffs, and control points.
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining process models using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
  • Hands-on experience with Signavio or another BPMN tool such as ARIS.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional working sessions, challenge constructively, and drive stakeholders from ambiguity to decision and closure.
  • Risk and controls mindset, with the ability to identify control gaps and partner effectively with controls and operational risk stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills to connect cause-and-effect across end-to-end journeys and recommend data-grounded improvements.
  • Executive-ready communication skills to synthesize complex process and risk topics into clear options, recommendations, and decisions required.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Experience using Jira and Confluence to translate process design into delivery.
  • Consulting experience or experience delivering large-scale transformation, including re-engineering, greenfield builds, or operating model change.
  • Experience improving case management and identifying automation opportunities in workflow-heavy environments.
