Job Description
This role supports the day‑to‑day execution of Technology Business Management (TBM) and Technology Financial Management activities across the organization. The position contributes to operational excellence, financial governance, and transparency for Technology spend and capacity by supporting budgets, forecasts, reporting, chargebacks, vendor financials, and cost optimization activities, working closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Business stakeholders, this position helps translate strategy into measurable execution and enables informed decision‑making through accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
TBM Cost Transparency, Allocation & Chargebacks:
- Support implementation and operationalization of taxonomies, and allocation methodologies, including documentation and controls.
- Execute and maintain cost allocation and chargeback processes for business units and consuming teams; investigate breaks and resolve exceptions with stakeholders.
- Produce service‑based and product‑based financial views to support value‑based conversations with stakeholders.
- Perform reconciliation and data quality checks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and auditability of cost data across systems and reports.
Run & Operate Technology Financial Management:
- Coordinate and execute day‑to‑day activities across Technology Financial Management, ensuring timely inputs and outputs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and governance processes, including preparing templates, consolidations, and review packs.
- Identify operational issues, risks, and exceptions related to Technology spend and financial management and escalate appropriately with proposed options.
Technology Financial Management & Governance:
- Support the Technology budget, forecast, and reforecast cycles, ensuring alignment to agreed priorities and plans.
- Prepare actuals vs. budget analysis, variance explanations, and management reporting at portfolio, domain, and service levels.
- Perform checks to support accurate classification of Technology costs (CapEx, OpEx, Run vs. Change, projects, services) in line with policy.
- Support financial governance frameworks, policies, and controls for Technology spend, including tracking adherence and following up on actions.
Financial Reporting, Insights & Decision Support:
- Deliver regular, standardized, and executive‑ready reporting on Technology spend, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations for Technology and Business leadership, with guidance from senior team members.
Team Culture & Capability Development:
- Contribute to a high‑performing team culture with clear accountability, strong execution discipline, and proactive risk management.
- Drive process discipline, continuous improvement, and automation within assigned areas, leveraging standard best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Technology Management (preferred).
- 6–10+ years of progressive experience in Technology Business Management, IT Financial Management, FinOps, or Technology FP&A.
- Experience supporting Technology financial operations in a complex, matrixed environment, with strong attention to detail and controls.
- Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, allocation models, and governance.
- Familiarity with TBM frameworks and financial systems/tools (e.g., TBM platforms, ERP, planning tools, BI).
