Job Description
The role is responsible for capturing and documenting APAC-specific business and technical requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined and incorporated into global programmes from the outset. Working closely with the APAC Product Owner, the Business Analyst supports backlog management, impact assessment, and the structured articulation of regional needs across a complex, multi-market environment.
The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable inputs for global delivery teams.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Gather, document, and maintain APAC-specific business and technical requirements across distribution technology domains (Data, CRM, Client Reporting, Web, Content Platforms)
Participate in requirements gathering for global D2E2 initiatives, ensuring APAC needs are captured early and accurately
Support the Product Owner in maintaining the regional backlog, including prioritisation inputs, impact assessments, and tracking of pain points
Liaise with business and technology stakeholders across APAC markets to validate requirements and define acceptance criteria
Provide business analysis support across the full project lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation and post-delivery review
Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare high-quality documentation, including business requirements documents, user stories, process maps, and test scenarios
Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with regional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet APAC requirements
Communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences across multiple regions and time zones
Contribute to building and maintaining a knowledge base of distribution technology processes and requirements within APAC
Work Experience
4–7 years of experience in business analysis within technology or digital delivery
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering across multiple business domains or markets
Experience working with distribution technology platforms (e.g. data platforms, CRM, content management, client reporting, web platforms)
Experience working in a global organisation or across distributed teams preferred
Exposure to the APAC financial services industry is advantageous
Knowledge / Skills / Personal Attributes
Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex requirements
Detail-oriented, with a structured and disciplined approach to work
Ability to resolve moderately complex issues independently and escalate appropriately where required
Strong communication skills across both technical and business stakeholders
Comfortable working across time zones and engaging with global teams
Ability to take multiple inputs and synthesise them into clear, actionable outputs
Open-minded, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
Demonstrates initiative and commitment to continuous improvement
