End User Services & Colleague Technology (EUS&CT) is part of the IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery (IISD) function within Nationwide and plays a key role in supporting the Society’s technology and operational transformation. As part of the Chief Operating Office (COO), EUS&CT helps deliver Nationwide’s strategy and blueprint through the Strategic Investment Portfolio, including strengthening resilience, introducing new technology, improving colleague and customer experience, and supporting the Virgin Money integration. EUS&CT provides end-user products and services, including Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, colleague devices and the support capabilities that underpin them.

This internal secondment offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Nationwide’s most significant transformation programmes as we bring Nationwide and Virgin Money together. You will work with experienced analysts, engineers, delivery colleagues and business stakeholders to support analysis, readiness and adoption activity across a range of EUS&CT initiatives, while gaining valuable exposure to large-scale integration and technology change.

This is a 18-month secondment opportunity.

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here

Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.

If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.

What you’ll be doing

You will work as part of a feature team within the Colleague Collaboration product family, delivering business analysis and change activities aligned to the Colleague Technology delivery roadmap. You will work with business champion groups and colleague communications teams to maintain a consistent tone of voice and approach across EUS & Colleague Technology whilst support initiatives that evolve workplace technology by providing analysis, process insight and progress tracking, while collaborating with Business Analysts, Engineers and Testers to maintain governance and solution traceability.

About you

As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:

  • Experience of creating clear communications, business processes and adoption materials that help colleagues understand and use IT system changes effectively, including Microsoft 365 features
  • A keen interest in building colleague networks and improving understanding of IT systems and process changes, including opportunities enabled by Power Platform and Microsoft 365 Copilot functionality
  • Ability to work at pace and respond flexibly to rapid change in needs/demands using an agile approach
  • Excellent verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and build collaborative relationships with colleagues who represent, champion and support the successful adoption of change

  • Stakeholder analysis and engagement experience, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels to complete Change Impact Assessments and shape cohesive business change and readiness plans across Colleague Collaboration initiatives

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
