As the Senior Data Platform Engineer you will be a reliable team-player, problem-solving oriented with strong analytical thinking. You will contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of SCOR's enterprise data platforms, including Databricks, Palantir Foundry and associated cloud services.
Working closely with Data Engineers, Architects and Platform Leads, you will help provide a secure, scalable and easy-to-use platform experience by implementing automation, operational controls, monitoring capabilities, services as well as reusable components that accelerate data delivery across the Group.
Key duties and responsibilities :
Under the responsibility of a Data Platform Lead, your mission will be to:
Build, maintain and support data platform capabilities that enable data engineers and analytics teams to deliver solutions efficiently.
Develop automation assets including deployment pipelines, SDLC accelerators, monitoring tools and operational frameworks.
Contribute to platform administration activities, including access management, environment configuration and operational support.
Build observability services and use them to monitor the data platform, helping identify issues and participate in remediation activities.
Document platform artefacts such as technical standards, pipelines, services, runbooks.
Collaborate with platform architects and engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
Support platform adoption by contributing to reusable templates, accelerators and self-service capabilities.
Participate in technology watch activities to evaluate and leverage relevant platform innovations.
Required experience & competencies :
- +5 years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering, data oriented mindset
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience in working with data platforms, preferably in cloud environments
- Proven experience working with complex data ingestion pipelines is a strong plus
- Proven experience with Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry is a strong plus
- Strong level in Python, Pyspark and SQL
- Good knowledge of CI / CD pipelines
- Good knowledge in REST API development
- Good understanding of access management, security principles and platform governance
- Good understanding of observability, monitoring and alerting solutions
- Strong analytical thinking, autonomy, rigorous mindset solution-oriented and force of proposal
- Team player, commitment, curiosity, interest to challenge
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Technical Skills :
- Strong level in Python, Pyspark and SQL
- Good knowledge of CI / CD pipelines
- Good knowledge in REST API development
- Good understanding of access management, security principles and platform governance
- Good understanding of observability, monitoring and alerting solutions

Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software or computer engineering, applied math, physics, statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
