What’s the role?

You'll play a key role in helping Commercial Banking and Specialised Sales teams navigate risk with confidence while continuing to deliver great outcomes for customers. Working closely with business leaders and frontline stakeholders, you'll provide practical risk advisory support, help strengthen controls, manage issues and incidents, and contribute to a proactive risk culture across the business.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands how banking works on the frontline and can combine that knowledge with strong risk, compliance or control expertise. You'll partner with senior stakeholders, influence decision making, and help ensure risks are identified, understood and managed effectively.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

What do I need?

• Experience in banking or financial services, with an understanding of Commercial Banking customers and products.
• Background in risk, compliance, controls, operational risk or business risk management.
• Ability to provide practical risk advice and support to frontline business stakeholders.
• Experience identifying, managing and improving risk, issues and controls.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.

Highly regarded

• Commercial Banking experience.
• Exposure to Equipment Finance, Trade Finance, Invoice Finance or similar products.
• Experience working with frontline banking teams in either business or risk roles.
