Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior Manager Risk Infrastructure in our Wholesale Lending Origination team, you'll play a key role in delivering simpler, more consistent lending experiences for customers and bankers by leveraging ANZ systems and data assets underpinning processes that support credit and lending decisions. You will shape future lending capabilities while driving continuous improvement and sustainable outcomes across both transformation initiatives and ongoing operations.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
You'll use your expertise in risk systems, data, and decisioning capabilities to help improve lending outcomes for customers and bankers. Working closely with stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Risk, you'll contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and support the ongoing effectiveness of lending and credit processes.
As a Senior Manager Risk Infrastructure, you will:
- Support the transformation of lending and credit processes to deliver simpler, more consistent outcomes for customers and bankers.
- Enhance risk systems, decisioning capabilities, and data to support effective and efficient lending decisions.
- Translate business requirements into practical process and technology solutions that support business and risk outcomes.
- Identify and resolve risks, issues, and opportunities while driving continuous improvement across project and operational activities.
- Collaborate with Business, Technology, and Risk stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes and embed risk considerations into solution design.
- Ensure solutions comply with governance, regulatory, privacy, and policy requirements.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience working with credit risk data, decisioning systems, and risk infrastructure platforms within a lending environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience using tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or similar technologies to solve problems and generate insights.
- Knowledge of credit decisioning concepts, data flows, system integrations, and risk systems such as PowerCurveor similar technologies.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across Business, Risk, and Technology teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on simplification and automation.
- Experience in Wholesale Lending is desirable, although strong Retail Lending experience will also be considered.
