The role

You will play a key role in executing the strategic roadmap for Unloan's onboarding experience, improving the home loan application journey, reducing friction, increasing conversion, and helping customers progress through the application journey with greater confidence and clarity.

You will be a strong contributor to product vision and strategy, partnering closely with the Product Lead and senior stakeholders.

You'll be embedded in a cross-functional team alongside engineering and design, collaborating with operations, marketing, risk and lending teams to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Unloan's application and onboarding experience.

• Engage in continuous discovery to understand customer needs, pain points, behaviours, conversion opportunities and operational impacts.

• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to identify high-value problems and define clear success measures.

• Partner with design and engineering to prototype, test, iterate and deliver valuable, viable, usable and feasible solutions.

• Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring the team understands outcomes, trade-offs and dependencies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, risk, marketing, product, technology and customer-facing teams to remove blockers and deliver change effectively.

• Communicate roadmap priorities, delivery progress, risks and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a digital-first, high-growth environment.

• Strong customer experience mindset, with the ability to uncover root problems and unmet needs.

• Practical experience in continuous product discovery, agile delivery and outcome-based planning.

• Ability to balance customer desirability, commercial outcomes, operational considerations, risk and feasibility.

• Strong data literacy, using insights and performance metrics to guide decisions.

• Excellent communication, storytelling and stakeholder influencing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

• High integrity, curiosity and accountability, with a positive approach to solving challenging problems.

• Bonus: experience in financial services, lending or regulated environments.
