Job Description
Purpose of the job:
Develop your compliance career within a global financial services business where your work will help protect the organisation, support business growth and strengthen client confidence. Working alongside senior Risk and Compliance leaders, you'll play an important role in ensuring the business meets its regulatory obligations while supporting teams across the UAE and wider Group.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of compliance, anti-money laundering and risk management activities, giving you the opportunity to build technical expertise and develop a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape. You'll be involved in assessing new business opportunities, supporting risk reviews, enhancing compliance controls and helping colleagues navigate regulatory requirements with confidence.

Main responsibilities:
- Support the assessment of new business opportunities, helping ensure onboarding decisions are aligned with regulatory and risk requirements.
- Provide guidance on adverse screening results and other compliance matters, helping teams make informed decisions.
- Play an active role in maintaining and enhancing compliance records, registers and monitoring activities.
- Monitor key regulatory deadlines and help ensure compliance obligations are met across the business.
- Review Politically Exposed Person cases and support approval processes in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of anti-money laundering policies, procedures and controls.
- Support business risk assessments by helping identify, evaluate and mitigate potential risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and internal resources.
- Assist with compliance training initiatives, helping to promote a strong risk and compliance culture.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing practical compliance support and guidance.
- Contribute to wider compliance projects and initiatives that strengthen governance and regulatory effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Experience within a compliance, risk, anti-money laundering or regulatory environment, with a sound understanding of AML and financial crime requirements.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or a relevant professional compliance qualification.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess risks, identify issues and make practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience maintaining compliance records, registers or monitoring activities.
