The P&SE Post Trade NCCP engineering organization is expanding technology center in Bengaluru (Bangalore). We are looking for a Senior Specialist with Manual/Functional testing to join our Clearing Counter Party (CCP) system QA team.

In this role, you will join the P&SE Post Trade NCCP QA team in Bangalore, part of Nasdaq Marketplace Technology. As this is a growing team in Bangalore, you will play a key role in helping build and shape our local QA function from the ground up. At the same time, you will be connected to a broader global network of QA professionals working across our Clearing systems, giving you exposure and collaboration opportunities well beyond the local team

Role Requirement:

As a Senior Specialist QA for Functional/Manual testing, you will work in a multi-functional product engineering team with highly skilled and expert Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.

  • Your responsibilities will be related to Functional/Manual testing in a DevOps oriented environment for a clearing system. Including such as:
  • Review functional business requirements.
  • Build implement and maintain tests, develop test plans & test effort estimates,
  • Build test specifications and test reports.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of Functional testers.
  • Understand the Application/Product Components and integration points to perform E2E testing
  • Work closely with NCCP Automation team for test case handover, execution and Sign off.
  • Analyze & Mitigate complex problems/issues arising because of Test failures, identify & resolve bottlenecks such as Test data and Env issues.
  • Surveillance within Nasdaq works to keep our markets fair and efficient by implementing and upholding effective and well balanced regulation and fairly enforcing our rules. We are at the core of the market places and we interact with issuers, trading participants, investors and regulators to build and preserve confidence in our markets. We participate in forming regulation and practices and we make important decisions to protect investors and to uphold orderly trading.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in the QA space.

We expect you to have:

  • Overall experience of 10+yrs as a Functional/Manual QA with 2 years of hands on Automation experience.
  • Support, participate, test and implement new business initiatives, products, programs, processes, etc. (e.g., process simplification and automation, business requirements) that are aligned with the organizational strategy.
  • Proficient in Test effort estimation, Test planning and Test Reporting.
  • Hands on experience in API testing.
  • Strong experience in Trading & Clearing domains (Financial Markets).
  • Proactively assembles and commits to results the extended Nasdaq team of experts that together leads all business activities with an existing customer or prospect.
  • Good understand of DB concepts and hands on experience with SQL.
  • Experience working in agile teams either using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Working knowledge of Java

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience

It would be great if you have

  • Experience in the post-trade domain or the financial market.
  • Experience in non-functional tests such as failover tests and performance tests.
  • Experience in security related testing.
