This role supports the Workplace, Property & Colleague Enablement team by turning data, reporting and workplace systems into clear insight that helps make key decisions around our workplaces to improve the colleague experience.
You’ll develop and maintain reporting solutions, analyse workplace data, support the administration of workplace technology, and work with stakeholders to improve the way our workplaces are planned, managed and used.
The role brings together data analysis, business insight and system support, helping to make sure reporting is accurate, trusted and aligned to business needs. You’ll play an important part in improving data quality, supporting change and identifying opportunities to make reporting simpler, more automated and easier for others to use.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
This is a 12 month secondment opportunity.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Swindon office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.
If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll spend your time working with data, systems and people to help the business understand how our workplaces are being used and where improvements can be made.
A typical day could include building or updating reports, checking data quality, investigating issues, supporting changes to workplace systems, or talking to stakeholders about what they need from the data.
You’ll turn complex information into clear insight and recommendations, so operational teams and senior stakeholders can make informed decisions. You’ll also help improve and automate reporting processes, making it easier for colleagues to access the information they need.
About you
As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:
- Experience developing, maintaining and improving Power BI dashboards and other reporting solutions, including turning stakeholder requirements into clear reports and measures
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience working with large or complex datasets and translating data into practical insight and recommendations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience checking, investigating and improving data quality
- Experience gathering, documenting and translating business requirements into reporting, data or system solutions
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot trends, anomalies and risks in data before they affect reporting or decision-making
- Experience working with stakeholders, technology teams or suppliers to test and implement system changes or reporting improvements
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences

Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development
Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
