This role
PayJoy provides cell phone financing and general credit in emerging markets to underserved customers who previously lacked access to traditional credit and banking. We are seeking a Philippines-based tax expert whose initial focus will be primarily on the Philippines, with additional responsibility for establishing tax infrastructure in India and Indonesia. This includes tax registrations, compliance calendars, advisor coordination, reporting processes, and controls to support launches and growth. The role will also support future expansion into markets such as Vietnam. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, this role combines hands-on execution with independent technical judgment across complex tax environments. The role must connect tax decisions with customer financing, product design, and profitable growth. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, leading through technical expertise, advisor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
