Global Commercial Services (GCS) serves millions of business customers around the world, from mom-and-pop shops to approximately 70% of the S&P 500. We’re looking for a Staff Engineer, Commercial Data Platform in GCS-Technology.
- Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement through technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and feedback
- Lead the technical strategy to scale data risk management and data governance best practices across the commercial ecosystem
- Be a key leader on the effort to continuously improve the trust and reliability of our critical operational data-driven workloads
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross functional partners to deliver collaboratively
- Perform hands-on architecture, design, development, and testing
- Implement process improvements to streamline areas for your team such as hiring, onboarding, software delivery, and internal/external communication
- Drive and execute on high-level & detailed technical decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise with a major cloud vendor (AWS/GCP)
- Expertise with spark, python, SQL
- Experience partnering cross functionally and being a hands-on leader to drive successful execution
- Strong understanding of data governance best practices and technical patterns to implement them at scale
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building unified data driven solutions with a data-lakehouse architecture
