Summer Internship Programme 2027 – Global Operations

If you are passionate in pursuing a career in the Banking Industry, this is a chance for you to immerse yourself within our global financial group. Our Summer Internship Programme is an opportunity for you to experience what it is like to work within MUFG and determine where you want to take your career.

We are currently offering internship opportunities in our Global Operations stream, where you will gain hands-on exposure to the processes and systems that support the bank’s day-to-day activities. You will work alongside Operations colleagues on assignments involving service delivery, process improvement, data analysis and operational controls.

What you will do

• Support daily operational activities and assist with process documentation, reporting and data-quality checks.
• Analyse workflow information and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
• Assist with process mapping, testing, issue tracking and project coordination for operational initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Operations, business, technology and control functions while developing your problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.

Job Requirements:

• Penultimate-year students from a reputable university with strong academic results;
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Knowledge of data analysis, process improvement or technical tools, such as Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL or VBA, would be an advantage;
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese is essential for the role, while fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage.
• Self-motivated with a genuine interest in banking operations, technology, digitalisation and process improvement;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; and
• Willingness to learn, take ownership and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
