Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Secure sufficient road freight capacity to support domestic and cross-border transportation activities.
• Prepare and regularly update transport capacity plans in cooperation with Logistics, Commercial, and Operations teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing carriers and coordinate capacity commitments, vehicle availability, and service expectations.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new transportation partners to strengthen and diversify the carrier network.
• Support and conduct commercial negotiations regarding freight rates, capacity commitments, and service conditions.
• Participate in transport tenders, prepare sourcing documentation, compare bids, and contribute to carrier selection decisions.
• Coordinate the preparation and administration of carrier contracts and freight rate agreements.
• Monitor market trends, freight rates, and capacity developments across Hungary and the European Union.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and cost comparisons related to transport sourcing and capacity management.
• Contribute to process improvement and digitalization initiatives within road transport logistics.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in road transportation, logistics, freight procurement, carrier management, or transport planning.
• Strong understanding of the Hungarian road freight market and preferably broader European transportation markets.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with carriers and logistics service providers.
• Experience negotiating freight rates, service conditions, and transportation agreements.
• Strong analytical skills with confidence in preparing cost, rate, and capacity analyses.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in standard office applications.
• Fluent Hungarian and strong English language skills for business communication and negotiations.

Additional Information

Nice to Have

• Experience with road freight tenders and contract preparation.
• Existing network within the Hungarian or European transportation market.
• Experience in the transportation of bulk agricultural or food-related products.
• Knowledge of SAP, TMS, or transportation tendering platforms.
• Category B driving licence.
