Underwriter, A&Hnew

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Underwrite and administer Group, Corporate & Multinational Accident and Travel business accordance with the company’s business objectives and underwriting guidelines.

• Develop and maintain good relationships with assigned producers to achieve new business and renewal retention goals.

• Handle underwriting of new and renewal business. Underwriting duties will include reviewing, developing, and negotiating price, coverage, terms and conditions for existing and new business.

• Collaborate with the Distribution team and other lines of business to achieve new business goals.

• Responsible for new business premium targets, premium retention targets and loss ratio targets  

• Assist in projects / regional initiatives including audits, product development and implementation.

• Work closely with other functional areas: Claims; Actuarial; Operations; Finance; Legal and Compliance

• Adherence to all internal and external compliance and authority standards, including implementation of new standards.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. You will be energetic, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and able to problem solve effectively. In addition, the ability to present to large groups, communicate clearly and collaborate with all levels of management, and to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization, will also be key to your success. You must be able to read and write English and Chinese.
