Make an Impact in a Specialized Area of Wealth & Fiduciary Services
Are you a finance, accounting, or trust professional looking to expand your expertise in a highly specialized area of wealth management? Join our Unique Assets team and play a key role in the oversight, valuation, and administration of closely held businesses and other complex assets held within fiduciary accounts.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of unique assets, collaborate with experienced trust and wealth professionals, and gain exposure to complex financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and fiduciary administration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the administration and oversight of closely held business interests, including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies held in fiduciary accounts.
Perform annual asset reviews, analyzing financial statements, operating performance, governance documents, marketability, risks, and holding recommendations.
Assist in developing and updating valuation estimates using financial data and appropriate valuation methodologies.
Support corporate actions, including business sales, purchases, shareholder votes, proxy requests, and other asset-related activities.
Assist with the administration of additional unique assets, including, but not limited to, real estate holdings and life insurance policies.
Partner with Relationship Managers, trust professionals, legal advisors, and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional client service.
Identify potential risks and ensure assets are administered in accordance with fiduciary responsibilities and regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience at a bank or another similar financial institution. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a combined minimum of six years of higher education and work experience, including at least two years’ experience at a bank or similar financial institution
Strong analytical and financial statement review skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and other business applications.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Experience with closely held business assets, unique asset administration, trusts and estates, business valuation, audit, accounting, or compliance.
Advanced degree and/or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CPA/ABV, ASA, or CTFA.
Knowledge of fiduciary administration, valuation techniques, and wealth management practices.
