You are an Associate Counsel within In-House Legal Services (ILS), based in Argentina, supporting the US Filings team (USFT) and the Client Services Legal Support team (CST). You serve as a day-to-day legal support point for bankers and client service teams on U.S.-based bank products and services, applying attorney-approved guidance, playbooks, precedent, and templates, and escalating novel, material, or higher-risk matters to designated counsel under established protocols. In parallel, you provide legal analysis and advisory support for U.S. state qualification, franchise tax, corporate governance, and other entity-level matters, helping ensure timely, accurate filings execution across U.S. jurisdictions and effective coordination with internal stakeholders (including Corporate Secretaries / Corporate Governance Contacts (CGC), Corporate Tax, OTS, and the filings vendor), with attention to risks, controls, and operational documentation.

  • Client Services Legal Support (CST)
    • You will advise bankers, client service associates, and internal stakeholders on CIB products and processes, including process-exception matters and questions with potential legal impact, using attorney-approved guidance, playbooks, and precedent.
    • You will prepare, review, and issue client-facing letters and responses using attorney-approved templates, exercising independent legal judgment within approved guidance.
    • You will escalate novel, material, or higher-risk questions to designated counsel in line with established protocols.
  • U.S. Filings & Governance Execution (USFT)
    • You will support governance and state filings execution, providing legal analysis and advice where state qualification, corporate governance, or entity-level questions require legal judgment.
    • You will prepare and submit annual reports and event-based filings across U.S. jurisdictions to support compliance with state qualification, franchise tax, and related corporate governance requirements.
    • You will perform corporate filings with the 50 U.S. state secretaries of state for JPMorganChase subsidiaries and handle related inquiries from teams inside and outside OTS.
  • Projects, Process, Risks & Controls
    • You will manage assigned projects related to legal entities, data analysis, process updates, and risks and controls, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., Corporate Tax) and the filings vendor.
    • You will maintain and update operational documentation, tools, and workflows, including using AI-driven tools and insights to interpret data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.

  • Licensed lawyer with 2+ years of practice.
