Job Description

Purpose of the role

To develop, track and analyse operational metrics through trend analysis and client insights, and translate outcomes to support with data driven decisions. 

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate analytics and reporting processes, including COO and Group functions to share data.
  • Development and monitoring of operational metrics, reports and dashboards to track KPIs for banking operations.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in analytics and reporting procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve analytics and reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Development of reports and presentations on translated data and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Execution of automated trend analysis and client insights, standing good vs bad data, to identify trends, patterns and insights that can inform decision making and process improvements with human feedback.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in analytics and reporting processes.

As VP – Data, Reporting & Analytics, you will lead the evolution of data, management information, reporting and analytics across the Client Service Data and Reporting function. This role is responsible for delivering timely, accurate and actionable insights that support operational performance, strategic decision-making, governance forums, transformation initiatives and executive leadership oversight. Your role combines leadership of an established reporting team with accountability for defining and delivering the longer-term vision for scalable, automated and self-service reporting capabilities. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and data providers to translate business needs into trusted reporting, business intelligence and analytics solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience leading reporting, analytics or data functions within a complex operational, financial services or regulated environment.
  • SQL, Python or other data automation expertise is preferred.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data engineering, data transformation and analytics tooling.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled analytics, predictive insights or emerging technologies in reporting and automation.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Tableau, business intelligence solutions, management information and performance reporting.
  • Ability to define and execute data, reporting and analytics strategies aligned to business priorities and future organizational needs.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, reporting controls, metric definitions and consistent reporting standards.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and translating business requirements into impactful reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality reporting outputs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills, including the ability to engage with executive and senior leadership audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively within Barclays policies, governance requirements, control frameworks and data management standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business insight.
  • Experience driving reporting automation, process simplification and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of operational performance management, KPI framework design and executive dashboarding.
