Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team within GC Securities at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a key contributor, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the secondary trading and collateralized reinsurance placement efforts of the Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) team.  Additionally, you will be supporting primary distribution and the middle office functions of the ILS team on an as needed basis.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist with communications related to the secondary trading of ILS products

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of GC Securities bi-weekly catastrophe bond pricing sheets

  • Assist with placement of collateralized reinsurance covers

  • Assist with the end-to-end operational execution and settlement of primary catastrophe bond issuances, coordinating with issuers, institutional investors, custodians, and settlement agents.

  • Assist with institutional investor onboarding, including KYC documentation, Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) verification, account setup, and settlement instructions.

  • Assist with investor allocations, trade confirmations, cash movements, accrued interest calculations, settlement reconciliation, and the resolution of trade exceptions.

  • Support process improvement initiatives by maintaining operational documentation, ensuring regulatory and audit compliance, and assisting with workflow automation and operational efficiencies.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field.

  • 4+ years of experience in financial or insurance markets.

  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CT.

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $114,700 to $210,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
