Help shape how institutional investors access liquidity and ideas across Asia Pacific cash equities. You will work alongside experienced sales and trading professionals, partnering with research and capital markets colleagues to deliver coordinated client solutions. This role provides hands-on exposure to block-driven execution, market color, and relationship development. You will strengthen commercial and analytical skills while operating in a high-integrity, well-controlled environment.

As an Associate in APAC Cash Equity Block Sales, you will support institutional client coverage and block-related execution across Asia Pacific cash equities. You will help deliver timely market insights, progress trade ideas, and coordinate closely with trading, research, and capital markets partners to meet client needs. You will contribute to coverage planning and data-driven targeting while consistently applying firm policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.

Job responsibilities

  • Support and develop relationships with institutional investor clients across cash equities and block liquidity
  • Coordinate block opportunity execution workflows by partnering with trading to manage indications of interest and client communication
  • Deliver relevant market color, flows, and desk views to institutional clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Build and maintain databases and analytics to track trading activity, client interests, and engagement outcomes
  • Prepare client-ready trade ideas and positioning materials by translating desk themes and research into clear messaging
  • Partner with capital markets and banking coverage to support coordinated institutional client engagement and event-driven opportunities
  • Assist with account planning, client prioritization, and activity management to maximize revenue impact
  • Expand coverage by identifying prospective institutional accounts and supporting onboarding and engagement plans
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and client servicing workflows to meet evolving client needs
  • Adhere to applicable controls, firm policies, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of compliance and integrity
  • Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge sharing and support for onboarding and development of junior colleagues, as needed

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3 years of experience in cash equity sales, cash equity execution, equity syndicate, or a closely related equities role
  • Demonstrated experience covering institutional clients and supporting cash equity transactions and execution discussions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain institutional client relationships with trading and/or portfolio management stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate market insights and trade ideas clearly in writing and verbally
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using client activity data to inform targeting and follow-up
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across sales, trading, research, and capital markets stakeholders
  • Ability to meet applicable Hong Kong regulatory, licensing, and registration requirements for the role
  • Due recognition of professional qualifications attained from reputable training institutes or professional bodies (please specify any required qualifications at requisition stage)

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Experience supporting block liquidity workflows and event-driven execution discussions with institutional clients
  • Existing relationships with Asia Pacific-focused institutional investors
  • Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies (including relevant role-specific certifications, if applicable)
  • Ability to adapt communication style and coverage approach across different institutional client types
