Who we are looking for
The State Street Cyber Security Architecture & Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated professional with experience in Application Security, data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, and process automation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining reporting, dashboards, metrics, notifications, and operational intelligence capabilities across the enterprise Application Security program. This role will work closely with Application Security engineers, software development teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, auditors, and senior leadership to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about transforming security data into meaningful metrics and visualizations that enable transparency, accountability, and risk-based prioritization across the organization.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Define, develop, and maintain Application Security dashboards, reports, scorecards, and executive-level metrics across the AppSec program.
Partner with Application Security, Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and development teams to identify reporting requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions that aggregate data from AppSec platforms, security tools, and enterprise data sources.
Design and deliver operational and executive reporting related to application security findings, remediation activities, SLA adherence, risk trends, and security program effectiveness.
Develop metrics and dashboards covering areas such as SAST, DAST, SCA, container security, API security, ADR, GenAI security, vulnerability management, and secure coding initiatives.
Create automated notifications, alerts, and reporting workflows to improve operational efficiency and stakeholder awareness.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement within the Application Security program.
Collaborate with application teams to validate data quality, reporting accuracy, and remediation tracking.
Support internal and external audit activities by providing reporting, evidence, metrics, and documentation as required.
Develop and maintain reporting standards, documentation, data dictionaries, and operating procedures.
Partner with senior leadership to develop executive dashboards and strategic reporting that support risk management and governance efforts.
Continuously improve reporting capabilities through automation, process optimization, and integration with new security tools and technologies.
Provide technical support and expertise for AppSec reporting initiatives and strategic projects
What We Value

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security and operational data.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations using tools such as Data Bricks, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.
Experience working with data sources, APIs, databases, and reporting repositories.
Experience with SQL, Databases, data engineering, and data analysis techniques.
Knowledge of Application Security disciplines including SAST, DAST, SCA, API Security, Container Security, Secure SDLC, and vulnerability management.
Experience working with security tooling, or similar platforms.
Experience developing automated workflows, notifications, and reporting processes.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Strong understanding of security metrics, key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreement (SLA) reporting.
Experience performing trend analysis, data quality validation, and executive reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality reporting solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with scripting or automation technologies such as Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies is desirable.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
6+ of years of relevant combined experience developing enterprise reporting solutions and executive dashboards
Experience with Data Bricks, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Databases, Excel, or similar business intelligence platforms.
Experience working with APIs and data integrations.
Knowledge of Application Security and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) concepts.
Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Security+, CISSP, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or similar certifications are desirable.
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across globally distributed teams.
Work Requirement
Hybrid: Expected to work from base office location 4 days in a week
Shift: Standard business hours with flexibility to support global stakeholders across multiple time zones
