Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.


Citi Investment Bank provides advisory, debt and equity capital markets solutions for corporations, governments and financial institutions

This is a VP / Associate level position in the Hong Kong Corporate Finance team responsible for executing capital markets transactions, with a primary focus on Hong Kong IPOs, as well as other corporate finance transactions. The overall objective of this role is to work closely with clients, transaction team members and outside professional advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle and ensure transactions are executed to a high standard.


Responsibilities:

  • Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of transaction execution and management
  • Work closely with clients, transaction team members and outside professional advisors throughout transaction processes, including conducting due diligence, drafting and reviewing prospectuses and other transaction documents, managing execution timetables and regulator liaison
  • Identify and assess issues arising from due diligence and other execution processes, and work with relevant parties to develop appropriate and effective solutions
  • Support broader coordination and capability development initiatives relating to the firm’s Hong Kong corporate finance franchise

Recommended Qualifications:

  • No less than 3-10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, capital markets, accounting, legal and regulatory, or a related field
  • Experience in Hong Kong IPO execution preferred, including due diligence, disclosure drafting and review, regulator engagement and transaction management and coordination with clients and professional advisers
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • High standards of integrity, professional judgment, ownership and teamwork

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Law preferred
