Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, MIS is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and enhancing management information reports, dashboards and analytical outputs for Collections and Recoveries operations. The role supports business decision-making through accurate, timely and standardised reporting, strong data controls, process documentation and continuous improvement across markets supported by the Centre of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Support the MIS and Collections reporting strategy by delivering reliable, scalable and standardised reporting solutions aligned to business priorities.
• Drive automation, simplification and continuous improvement of recurring reports, dashboards and data processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translate them into actionable MI outputs and support data-led decision-making.
Business
• Prepare, validate and publish daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc MIS reports for Collections and Recoveries operations.
• Provide analytical insights on portfolio performance, delinquency, allocation, roll rates, agency performance, productivity, scorecards and operational KPIs.
• Ensure business users receive timely and accurate reporting support for performance reviews, governance forums and management updates.
Processes
• Maintain robust end-to-end reporting processes, including data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, validation and publishing.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, report inventories, control checklists and Documents of Instruction to ensure continuity and audit readiness.
• Identify reporting defects, data quality issues and process gaps; coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues and implement preventive controls.
• Use tools such as Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI and macros to automate reporting and improve efficiency where applicable.
People & Talent
• Work collaboratively with country, regional and central teams to deliver reporting outcomes and resolve data/reporting queries.
• Support knowledge transfer, cross-training and effective handover for reports and processes to build resilience within the team.
• Demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, flexibility and a continuous learning mindset while managing competing priorities.
Risk Management
• Maintain strong controls over data handling, report production, access, reconciliations and approvals to minimise operational and conduct risk.
• Escalate data discrepancies, reporting breaks, control gaps and compliance issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure reports are produced in line with approved definitions, business rules, governance requirements and applicable data confidentiality standards.
Governance
• Adhere to Group, Country, Business and Functional policies, standards and procedures relevant to MIS, data management and operational reporting.
• Maintain evidence of report controls, approvals, reconciliations and issue resolutions for governance and review purposes.
• Support internal reviews, audits and management governance meetings by providing accurate reporting inputs and documented explanations.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders
• Collections and Recoveries Operations, Country Collections teams, Agency Management teams, Risk, Finance, Technology/Data teams, Governance and Controls teams, Regional and Group MIS stakeholders, and senior business management.
Other Responsibilities
• Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Collections and Recoveries MIS; perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; support additional reporting, analytics, remediation or transformation initiatives as required.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Relevant 3 to 5 yrs experience in MIS, analytics, reporting, collections operations, banking operations or financial services preferred.
• Working knowledge of data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, dashboarding and reporting controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, VBA/macros or similar reporting tools will be an advantage.
