As a Data Product Support Associate in Finance Planning & Analysis, you will spend each day enabling reliable planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics by supporting critical finance data domains including Reference, Headcount, Consolidated Financials, FX, and Anaplan.

 

Job responsibilities 

  • Support business-as-usual operations for finance data products across Reference, Headcount, Consolidated Financials, FX, Anaplan, etc. ensuring reliable availability, accurate processing, and timely issue resolution for finance stakeholders.
  • The role will include production support, issue triage, data validation, reporting support, process documentation, user engagement, UAT, and continuous improvement. 
  • The ideal candidate combines strong finance and data analysis skills with a product-oriented mindset, sound control discipline, and the ability to translate complex business and data issues into clear, actionable outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance, Planning & Analysis, Technology, and product teams to understand business requirements, validate data outcomes, and support delivery of enhanced system and reporting capabilities.
  • Work with Technology and product owners to define requirements, support backlog prioritization, participate in UAT, validate fixes/enhancements, and assist with change management activities.
  • Maintain clear runbooks, SOPs, operating procedures, process flows, issue logs, and evidence artifacts to support operational consistency, knowledge transfer, audit readiness, and control transparency.
  • Extract, analyze, and summarize structured and unstructured data to support ad hoc stakeholder requests, operational reviews, business analysis, and leadership updates.
  • Translate complex technical, data, and process issues into clear communications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support modernization initiatives across finance data platforms, including improvements to data models, reporting architecture, automation pipelines, self-service capabilities, and scalable operating models.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment using agile delivery practices

     

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical/business discipline.
  • Strong understanding of finance planning, forecasting, actuals, budget, outlook, allocation, reporting, and management reporting processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting business-critical applications or data products, including production monitoring, issue triage, root cause analysis, data validation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with the ability to query, transform, reconcile, and analyze large datasets.
  • Practical experience with data analysis, data wrangling, or automation tools such as Databricks, Python, Alteryx, Essbase/Dodeca/ Anaplan Excel (AXL), or similar platforms.
  • Strong data quality mindset, including experience with profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, lineage, metadata, and exception management.
  • Working knowledge of controls, audit readiness, evidence retention, change management, and operational risk management in a finance or technology environment. Experience documenting runbooks, SOPs, process flows, requirements, test cases, issue logs, and implementation artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in finance technology, data analytics, product support, business analysis, reporting operations, or financial data management, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Self-directed, intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight timelines.
