Job Description

The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our company. This program gives graduates workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills that they have studied and will practice in order to assist them in the future in their chosen occupations. 

The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our company. The successful applicants will enter into a 12-month fixed term Internship agreement (not an employment contract) with the company and receive a stipend. 

Qualifications

Take note to qualify for an INSETA/Internship program you need to: 

• Be a South African citizen 
• Not previously part of an internship/learnership with INSETA/Service SETA
• Be between the ages of 18 & 35 
• Unemployed in the last 6 months

B.Sc. Computer Science & Information Technology/Information Systems

BCom Information Technology

Diploma in Information Technology (3-4 years qualification)

Or relevant IT qualification (degree and/ or diploma)

A+ Certificate 

Additional Information

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
• Familiarity with operating systems.
• Familiarity in programming languages (e.g., Python, C#).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).

Communication Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Problem-Solving:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Teamwork:

• Willingness to collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Adaptability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Time Management:

• Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with industry trends.

HOURS: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 with a possibility of weekends should it be required.
