Inbank is a financial technology company with an EU banking license that connects merchants, consumers, and financial institutions on its next-generation embedded finance platform. Our financing solutions are embedded seamlessly into the shopping journey of 6,000+ retailers. This helps our merchant partners grow their businesses, while end customers benefit from a frictionless shopping experience wherever they are. With a focus on innovation and growth, we are looking for talented people to join our team of 420+ working across our offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support our Commercial Unit across the Baltics (approximately 100+ employees), while also taking responsibility for local HR management in Lithuania and Latvia.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships with leaders and employees, and turning people challenges into practical solutions. You'll need to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, supporting both leaders and employees in day-to-day people matters while contributing to longer-term organisational success.
We're at a stage where scaling isn't simply about growing headcount. Our focus is on building the right organisation, strengthening leadership capability, and continuously improving how we work so that our teams can perform at their best. As an HR Business Partner, you'll play an important role in helping us achieve that.
We operate as one People team across the Group, with a shared strategy, common goals, and aligned ways of working. While each of us has our own focus areas and responsibilities, we work closely together, share expertise, support each other, and take collective ownership of delivering a great people experience. We're a hands-on team where everyone is willing to step in and help when needed.
You'll be based in our Vilnius office, with another office in Kaunas. Regular travel to Latvia and Estonia is expected to build strong relationships with local leaders, employees, and People team colleagues.
What you'll be doing:
Your main focus will be split between two key areas: Business Partnering for the Commercial Unit across the full employee lifecycle (~70%) and taking ownership of one Group-wide People domain (~30%). You'll also be responsible for local HR management in Lithuania and Latvia as part of your HRBP role.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, providing high-quality, practical advice, guidance, and hands-on support across a wide range of people topics.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, its priorities, and challenges, translating these into relevant people initiatives and solutions.
- Partner with leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, talent decisions, performance management, and other people-related matters.
- Coach and challenge leaders constructively, helping them navigate complex people situations, strengthen their leadership capability, and make sound decisions.
- Manage end-to-end employee relations matters, supporting both leaders and employees through challenging situations while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and internal policies.
- Drive key People processes, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent discussions, engagement initiatives, and organisational changes, ensuring effective execution and meaningful outcomes.
- Use people, organisational, and business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve ways of working, simplify processes, and introduce scalable solutions, including automation where appropriate.
- Work closely with colleagues across the People team, sharing expertise, supporting each other, and contributing to our shared People strategy, priorities, and ways of working.
- Take responsibility for local HR management in Lithuania and Latvia, ensuring Group-wide People practices are effectively implemented, providing country-specific guidance to leaders, HRBPs, and People team colleagues, and ensuring compliance with local employment legislation.
- Lead and develop two People & Office Specialists, based in Vilnius and Riga, working closely with our People Operations and Office Experience leads to ensure consistent, high-quality local execution.
- Take ownership of one key People domain across the Group, such as Learning & Development, Total Rewards, or Talent & Employee Lifecycle. You'll continuously improve your area of ownership, bring forward ideas and recommendations, and partner with the wider People team to build effective, scalable solutions while ensuring high-quality execution.
We haven't decided which domain you'll own yet. We'd rather find the right person first and align responsibilities based on your strengths, interests, and the needs of the team.
What we're looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role within a fast-paced, international environment, preferably in Fintech, Tech, or Financial sector.
- Proven experience supporting teams and leaders across multiple countries within a Group-wide or international People function, with a clear understanding of how to balance shared People practices, local requirements, and cross-country collaboration.
- Proven experience partnering with leaders at different organisational levels across the full employee lifecycle, including organisational design, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and change management.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand business priorities, connect people decisions to organisational outcomes, and provide practical, commercially sound recommendations.
- The ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of the organisation, acting as an approachable and reliable partner to both leaders and employees.
- Confidence and sound judgement in navigating difficult conversations, challenging perspectives constructively, and making clear recommendations, even when there isn't an obvious answer.
- A strong sense of ownership and a hands-on mindset, with the ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions and practical execution, stepping in wherever needed to get things done.
- Experience leading People initiatives, projects, or functional areas across multiple locations, with the ability to drive improvements and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience leading or developing team members, with the ability to provide direction, support growth, and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to identify patterns, generate insights, and translate findings into meaningful actions.
- Strong knowledge of Lithuanian labour legislation; experience with Latvian employment legislation is a significant advantage.
- A collaborative, team-first approach, with a genuine willingness to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to common goals rather than working in silos.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and Lithuanian, written and spoken.
What you’ll get in return?
- A monthly gross salary of €4,500–€5,500, based on your experience and skills.
- A hybrid working model that supports flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
- Extra time off: Enjoy 5 additional vacation days after your 3rd year with us.
- Inspiring work environment that values creativity, collaboration, and impact.
- Health benefits: Choose between comprehensive health insurance or access to the Stebby wellness platform.
- Dedicated learning and development budget to help you grow your skills and stay ahead.
- Fun and connection: Take part in company-wide and team events that bring our people together.
- A modern, pet-friendly office in Vilnius, designed for comfort, collaboration, and productivity.
When submitting your application, please make sure your CV is in English.
A few words from your future manager, Piret Ploom
"I'm looking for a true partner – someone who is curious about how our business works, understands what drives performance, and is motivated by helping leaders and teams succeed. I expect you to bring your expertise, perspective, and judgement to the table, not just execute requests.
Our environment is fast-paced and constantly evolving. There won't always be a playbook, so I value people who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking challenging questions, and turning complex people challenges into practical solutions.
What I value most is ownership. If you see something that could work better, speak up. If you identify a problem, help solve it. If you have a different perspective than mine or another leader's, I want to hear it. The strongest partnerships are built on trust, transparency, and healthy challenge.
One thing that has always been important to me as a leader is helping people grow. My personal goal is to help develop professionals who can open any door for themselves in the future. People who are trusted for their expertise, respected for how they collaborate, and known for delivering great work.
In return, you'll have a chance to create meaningful impact, have a real voice, receive honest feedback, and a manager who is genuinely invested in your development and success.
If that sounds like the kind of environment where you'd thrive, I'd love to meet you. Feel free to DM me on LinkedIn for more information! :)"
