KYC Officer - fixed term position

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction & Documentation: Guide Apex Group clients through the account opening process, explaining features and requirements; Collect, verify, validate customer identification documents and send to Luxembourg team for final approval.

  • Compliance & Due Diligence: Conduct AML/KYC Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, making sure due diligence processes are handled efficiently and in line with EU standards and internal policies; Perform risk assessments and screen clients against sanctions/PEP list and escalate high-risk cases.

  • System Operations: Accurately input client data into core banking systems; Maintain digital records of all account documentation;

  • Collaboration: coordinate with Compliance, RMs/Customer Service Managers to resolve issues on account opening.

Skills Required:

  • Graduated in Law, Finance or Economics

  • More than 3 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector

  • At least 2 years of experience in AML/KYC mandatory.

  • Excellent knowledge of English, any other languages would be considered as an advantage

  • Very good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Analytical skills & interpretation of data

  • Negotiation skills

  • Comfortable working in a team as well as autonomously

  • Plan and lead projects to completion

  • Problem solving attitude
