Job summary

As a Loan origination specialist IV in our lending operations team, you will support end-to-end loan origination documentation and closing activities to help deliver a strong client experience. You will partner with stakeholders to satisfy credit and asset conditions, resolve non-routine issues, and uphold quality standards. You will contribute to process improvements while supporting a collaborative, resilient team environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispatch complete, accurate documentation packages to support loan origination and transaction closing.
  • Partner with clients to manage expectations and support compliance by communicating requirements clearly and addressing documentation gaps.
  • Resolve non-routine issues by applying lending policy knowledge, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
  • Contribute to projects that improve loan origination processes, controls, and cycle times.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to satisfy credit and asset conditions and support timely closing and funding.
  • Complete quality reviews, attestations, and corrections for errors and service level breaches in a timely manner.
  • Escalate urgent requests and risks appropriately to help meet customer expectations and service commitments.
  • Maintain working knowledge of required systems, procedures, and updates to support deal setup and funding activities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience supporting loan origination documentation and closing activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of loan origination processes, documentation standards, and operational controls.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, explain next steps, and resolve issues.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze exceptions and drive timely resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and facilitate productive discussions using active listening and effective questioning.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, complete work within defined quality standards.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and sustain performance during high-volume periods.
  • Proficiency with relevant systems and tools used to support deal setup, documentation, and funding workflows.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience supporting Equipment Finance or similar asset-based lending products.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members to support skill development and consistent performance.
  • Market and product knowledge to support informed decisions and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives, including process updates, control enhancements, or technology adoption.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, or process automation in an operations environment.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning or complex deal execution in a loan origination context.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies that support process improvement and operational excellence.
