The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for leading the product management function for Juniper Payments, owning the full product lifecycle from strategy and development through commercialization, compliance, and ongoing optimization. This role drives the evolution of existing and future payment capabilities, including ACH, Fedwire, instant payments, digital wallets, and emerging payment solutions that meet the evolving needs of business and consumer clients. Serving as a subject matter expert on U.S. domestic payment systems and funds movement, the Product Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients to develop product strategy, manage payment rail initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver market-leading payment solutions. The role is accountable for partner management, product performance, market readiness, compliance oversight, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, product adoption, and customer value while aligning cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business objectives.

Day in the Life:

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, commercialization, compliance, profitability, and market positioning of Juniper Payments' products and services.
  • Serve as a payments industry subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and market insights on ACH, Fedwire, Instant Payments, digital wallets, and emerging payment solutions.
  • Lead product discovery, market analysis, competitive assessments, pricing evaluations, and business case development to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and oversee product enhancements, translating business needs into clear requirements and development initiatives.
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Training, Marketing, and other functional teams to deliver innovative, client-focused payment solutions.
  • Manage product performance, adoption, penetration, and profitability metrics, providing regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Identify and assess product risks, market impacts, and implementation considerations throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Direct product commercialization activities, ensuring organizational readiness, partner alignment, and successful market launches for new capabilities, mandates, and platform enhancements.
  • Monitor regulatory, network, and industry mandates, driving product changes and coordinating internal and external communications as required.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, procedures, training materials, and user guidance to support successful implementation and ongoing product management.
  • Serve as an escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex product-related issues and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and governance forums to ensure successful execution of product initiatives within established timelines and business objectives.
  • Represent Juniper Payments at industry events, client engagements, training sessions, and strategic forums, promoting the organization's expertise and solutions.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members while contributing to the broader Juniper leadership team and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Oversee Juniper Payments product management function, and other specialists in support of commercialization efforts (i.e. sales support specialists). This currently includes 2 FTEs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Combined ten (10) years of product management, technical product implementations, and/or business systems analysis supporting technical products experience required.
  • Experience with the financial, credit union industry and core or account processing required. 
  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time within the United States.

Pay Equity

$105,600.00 - $134,600.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
