Job Description
To fulfil the role of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the Standard Bank Isle of Man (SBIOM), SBSA Isle of Man Branch (Branch) Offshore and Standard Finance Limited (SFL) together the Relevant Persons, and to receive and consider internal SARs in accordance with internal reporting procedures in accordance with Part 7 of the IOM AML/CFT Code 2019.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- First Degree in Risk Management or similar
Experience Required :
- 5 - 7 years experience in Regulatory Services
- The role requires an expert in Compliance with profound knowledge of the full dimensions of the field, but deep expertise in the relevant area of specialisation. Regulatory environment savvy, with the proven ability to influence all levels of employees across multiple countries and business areas to effectively implement compliance frameworks.
Key Outputs :
- Respond promptly to requests for information made by the IOM FIU, IOM FSA and IOM AGC (The authorities). Communicate and coordinate with External Auditors, Regulators and Law Enforcement agencies on AML/CFT/CPF matters related to the Relevant Persons in Isle of Man (IOM). Contribute and represent the Relevant Persons within MLRO related industry forums and associations in IOM. Implement, maintain, and participate in governance structures in order to meet the requirements imposed by governmental bodies, regulators, industry.
- Advise on the collection, capturing and maintenance of data to ensure the information is reliable and enable effectively guide critical business decisions. Build, develop & maintain relationships with the key internal stakeholders relevant to the functional area and / or area of specialisation
- Contribute in relevant MLRO related change projects and initiatives to provide expert advice and guidance. Deliver holistically on all the MLRO regulatory and internal reporting requirements. Produce aggregated & reliable reports and formulate pertinent observations to enable the effectiveness of critical business decisions and reporting.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders and clients (Trusted Adviser). Where necessary facilitate the provision of training to targeted business areas or internally. Engage in the appropriate forums and workshops to convey relevant matters to wider audiences when required. Oversee the design and the dispensing of training and awareness initiatives pertaining to the Framework.
- Remain proficient and knowledgeable of best practice in the specialist field or focus area of your function and provide the necessary recommendations for adaptation and improvement.
