We are looking for an Operational Risk Assistant Manager to join our team in Mexico City. This role is critical to strengthening our operational risk framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a strong risk culture across the organization. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks, while partnering with multiple stakeholders locally and across international teams (US & Brazil).
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and enhancement of operational risk frameworks aligned with global standards
Identify, assess, and monitor operational risk exposures across business areas
Ensure effectiveness of internal controls and follow up on remediation actions
Prepare and present risk reports and committee materials (internal and regulatory)
Analyze corporate policies and local regulations to define risk management guidelines
Manage and support initiatives related to fraud risk and third-party risk management (TPRM)
Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to integrate risk practices into daily operations
Escalate key risks and issues appropriately and provide recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience in Operational Risk (1st or 2nd line of defense)
Background in Administration, Accounting or related fields
Experience in regulatory compliance or risk frameworks implementation
Advanced level of English (required)
Skills & Competencies
Required:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to synthesize complex information
Understanding of Mexican regulatory environment
Solid Excel skills (reporting & data analysis)
Structured, organized, and detail-oriented
Assertive communication and stakeholder management
Nice to have:
Experience in Fraud Risk or Third-Party Risk Management
PowerPoint skills for executive presentations
