What will you be doing 

We are looking for a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight in Glasgow or Liverpool. In your role, you will perform daily duties associated with the COO & CASS Oversight function, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time while adhering to all controls, regulatory guidelines and procedures relevant to team functions.

This is a varied role, offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight, your responsibilities will include among others

  • COO error tracking – ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information.
  • Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external – eg. AAF, IT) and the tracking of associated actions.
  • Assist with COO error investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
  • Assist with COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
  • Assist with user access reviews, ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
  • Assist with operational losses allocation and reconciliation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should

  • Demonstrable interest in financial services and in particular investment management. 
  • Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel. 
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to team priorities.

Desired

  • Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential.
