It's with that in mind that Beyond is looking to add a People Operations Manager to our growing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of People Operations you will have the opportunity to you will have the opportunity to oversee People Operations across an entire region, with true ownership over the processes, programs, and partnerships that define the employee experience for our EMEA team.

You'll build direct relationships with leaders across the business, and you'll do it inside a company that takes its core values seriously and genuinely invests in the people who work here. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Beyond Barcelona office.

As our People Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Overseeing day-to-day People Operations processes for the EMEA region, such as employee lifecycle management, payroll, benefits, system administration, employment law compliance, external partner management, and other core operational work
  • Staying current on EMEA market trends or patterns that have potential impact on people operations, and providing recommendations and counsel to the business on how to address
  • Building, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures, and ensuring they are followed consistently across the region
  • Advising on the development, implementation and iteration of scalable global People programs (onboarding, development, performance feedback, etc.) and regional annual projects (health and safety audits, insurance renewals, etc.) that support a world-class employee experience and drive positive employee engagement and retention
  • Acting as the business partner for managers in the EMEA region to counsel on employee coaching/development, compensation, performance management, and engagement
  • Assisting with right-to-work and relocation management for new hires
  • Leading employee relations cases directly (investigations, terminations, and conflict resolution) and escalating complex or high-risk situations when needed
  • Reinforcing our culture and values through everyday decisions and processes
  • Owning and running global engagement and people-development projects (surveys, development programs, recognition initiatives) 
  • Defining OKRs for those initiatives, tracking progress, and reporting outcomes to leadership each cycle
  • Managing Beyond’s Barcelona based Office Manager & EA 

 

So what kind of person are we looking for in this role? The person who will be successful in this role will be: 

  • Detail oriented: You are organized with a high attention to detail. You are comfortable managing complexity across multiple countries and handling sensitive employee data.
  • Collaborative: You are a strong team player who proactively seeks out cross-team collaboration and are highly skilled at influencing decisions and behavior.
  • Strategic: You understand how People Operations should ladder up to company goals, and you know how to translate that thinking into measurable outcomes for the team and the business

 

Now that we’ve told you what the job looks like, here are the qualifications we're looking for in a candidate:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in People Operations in the EMEA region, particularly in countries where the company has entities (Spain, Portugal, and the UK)
  • Experience supporting company goals, and experience delivering on those goals through strategic management of People Operations
  • High level of comfort for responsibility across all People Operations tasks for a rapidly growing team
  • Experience measuring success for a People Operations team and individual performance 
  • Demonstrated success in acting as a business partner to leaders within a company; viewed as the trusted “go-to” person by leaders for all things people
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, comfortable managing complexity across multiple countries, providers, and regulatory frameworks in parallel
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive employee data across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple locations
  • Strong written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills 
  • Ability to work onsite in our Barcelona-based office two days per week
  • Willingness to go above and beyond, outside the scope of the job duties to ensure the business succeeds
