Project
Automated Marley Provisioning Integrator
Project Description
This internship offers an opportunity to develop a standardized and repeatable process for provisioning Marley test environments that match specific customer releases of Regnology's Abacus360 Banking platform. You will gain practical exposure to environment setup, software version alignment, system configuration, and technical troubleshooting.
Throughout the internship, you will learn how to configure and validate test environments, perform basic smoke tests, and execute a minimal end-to-end workflow involving sample data loading and calculation processing. You will also explore common provisioning issues, learn how to identify relevant system logs, and develop reusable documentation to help the team reproduce customer environments accurately and investigate technical issues more efficiently.
About the Team
You will join the CS Support Tech team for Abacus360 Banking, a specialized technical operations unit within Regnology's Customer Success organization. Our team ensures the stability and performance of Regnology's regulatory reporting platform, supporting banking clients and helping resolve complex technical issues.
Operating across worldwide hubs, we serve as a key link between banking clients and R&D engineers, investigating environment anomalies, diagnosing technical incidents, and supporting the reliable operation of the platform.
Our daily work involves collaboration with clients and engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues, investigate system behavior, and ensure that test environments accurately reflect customer configurations. Using technologies such as Kubernetes, SQL, and Java, we support the performance and reliability of regulatory reporting solutions used by financial institutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop a repeatable provisioning guide for creating Marley test environments aligned with specific customer releases, including relevant versions and hotfixes.
- Document the process of requesting or creating environments and aligning software versions, banking layers, and required modules.
- Define basic configuration and smoke-test procedures to verify system accessibility, cluster and replication/date-related functionality, and licence visibility.
- Establish a minimal end-to-end validation workflow, including a sample data import or load and a calculation process.
- Investigate common provisioning issues, such as incorrect software versions, missing modules, and insufficient system resources.
- Document key system logs and troubleshooting steps to help identify the causes of technical failures.
- Create a reusable runbook, platform setup guide, and one-page smoke-test checklist to support the team.
- Optionally produce a short screen recording demonstrating the provisioning and validation process.
- Collaborate with experienced team members to validate the documentation and ensure the provisioning process can be reproduced from scratch.
- Contribute to reducing environment setup time and preventing unnecessary escalations caused by mismatches between customer environments and internal test systems.
Tools
Linux, Java, Python, APIs (e.g., Postman), SQL and databases, Kubernetes, Monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Google Cloud Monitoring), Identity and Access Management tools (e.g., Okta, Active Directory), AI tools and MCP integrations
