Process Analyst, Data & Automation

This role takes charge of process redesign and optimization of workflows for operational efficiency and excellence, bridging business needs and technological capabilities, typically before intelligent tools and automation are applied. You will design, develop, document, implement, test, and support solutions (platforms, applications, processes) as part of various cross-functional project teams. You should be comfortable around data and coding (PowerBI, Python, SQL), and have exposure to automation frameworks, APIs, and artificial intelligence.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Process Analysis & Opportunity Identification

• Requirements: Work with business, operational, and development teams to understand business requirements and ideate solutions for process and data automation that align with business goals.

• Documentation: Analyse, document, and processes, identifying bottlenecks and automation opportunities. Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for automation solutions.

• Solution Design: Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to improve applications, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. Design process solutions using workflow principles that are efficient, well-structured, and sustainable.

 

Automation Delivery & Technology Enablement

• Automation Approach: Design, work with relevant teams to code, test, deploy automated workflows and data dashboards with available tools.

• Integration: Collaborate with project teams, platform owners, and external partners to manage seamless implementation and adoption of solutions.

• Innovation: Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and support the straight-through ambition.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Liaison: Act as a central point of knowledge and control, bridging business stakeholders and software development teams by translating business needs into technical requirements.

• Change Management: Support process owners in user acceptance testing (UAT), scenario documentation, establishing metrics, and demonstrating successful adoption of new processes.

• Communication: Update and engage stakeholders throughout the project delivery cycle, ensuring clear and open communication.

 

Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Risk & Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with internal policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitoring: Track and monitor the performance of automated processes, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and compliance.

• Operating Model: Support the creation and ongoing evolution of the automation operating model and governance framework.

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge in data scripting and visualization, including PowerBI, Python, and SQL

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an organised and logical approach

• Ability to simplify complexity and develop actionable insights

• Resourceful, autonomous, and self-motivated

• Adaptable to changing circumstances and requirements

• Results-oriented, with a focus on execution, accountability, and continuous process improvement. Success in this role is measured by the efficiency gains, automation adoption, and quality of process improvements delivered.
