Job Description
Purpose of the Job
You will support the delivery of high-quality tax compliance services to partnership and private client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals and private equity structures. You'll play a hands-on role in managing tax engagements, identifying risks and opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare partnership (Form 1065) and individual (Form 1040) tax returns, including multi-state filings and related disclosures.
- Review your own work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax regulations.
- Analyse financial and tax information to identify risks, issues, and planning opportunities.
- Research federal, state, and local tax matters and assist with responses to tax notices and enquiries.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to gather information and resolve tax matters efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and well-organised workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Manage assigned workstreams and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
- Support process improvements and contribute to best practices across the tax team.
- Participate in client communications and provide support on compliance-related matters.
- Support managers and senior team members with technical research, special projects, and advisory work, while providing guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA qualification, or actively pursuing CPA certification, is preferred.
- Relevant experience in tax compliance, preferably within public accounting or professional services.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience preparing complex partnership and high-net-worth individual tax returns, including multi-state compliance requirements.
- Strong technical tax knowledge, including partnership taxation, private equity structures, international tax considerations, and foreign reporting requirements, with the ability to research complex issues and communicate effectively with tax authorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using tax compliance software; experience with QuickBooks is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and tax information and identify risks and opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work and client service.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and contribute positively within a team environment.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to continuous improvement, professional development, and sharing knowledge with others.
