As a Business Analyst Specialist, you will play a key role in analyzing complex regulatory rules and delivering specifications that align with both regulatory requirements and the operational needs of external clients.
We are now looking for a Business Analyst Specialist to strengthen the Product Management team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the analysis of regulatory reporting requirements as a part of the Nasdaq Regulatory Reporting FinTech team.

With this position we offer
Join the Product Management organization for Nasdaq. You will leverage experience in financial statements, accounting, Basel, and other reports required by the regulators to chip in to business analysis in software development. You will have the outstanding opportunity to foster strength regulatory reporting knowledge and define requirements of solutions to sophisticated reporting challenges in the banking sector. The role will lend itself to continued learning in the regulatory reporting space by default but will also provide a much wider ventage point of the operational workings of the banking sector. You will work with a group of hardworking team members with diverse experiences in FinTech industry.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Define product features and functional requirements – interpreting local financial regulations – specifically banking for APAC region and with focus on India market.
- Articulate above mentioned regulations and vital business processes into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Write and review Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) that breakdown requirements into clear and cohesive business logic and designs (of cubes, dashboards, and other user interactions) which can serve as the business for software development.
- Interrogate and challenge business existing operating paradigms and business user cases to look for optimizations and improvements, incorporating these into the requirements and specification you produce
- Collaborate with the Application Development (DEV) team to ensure the functional goals of our software are always captured and business user experience is considered
- Bring forth mentorship on the creation of test scenarios to the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure the full suite of functional as well as non-functional use cases are validated.
Furthermore, you will:
- Monitor regulatory updates particularly from APAC region and assess the impact and industry trends to keep Nasdaq AxiomSL solutions at the forefront of the data management, risk manage, and regulatory reporting industries
- Contribute as SME support in sales and pre-sales, as well as providing SME input into marketing initiatives, driving the creation of publications, blogs, and content of webinars, and more.
We expect you to have
- At least 6+ years of financial/regulatory reporting experiences, preferably in financial services industry
- A good understanding of banking products with strong accounting knowledge - bonds, loans, guarantees, collateral, repos, derivatives
- Self-motivated demeanor to think and act further than immediate tasks and problems at hand while leading deadlines
- Strong attention to detail to provide quality in business analysis
- Good spoken and written English
- Ability to comprehend and articulate sophisticated problems in a simple language to both internal and external audiences diverse set of backgrounds.
- Knack of adherence to the best Business Analysis practices
- Strong curiosity to learn inner workings of software development to gain a closer view of the product and apply findings to drive continuous improvement in business analysis
- Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, and Economics.
It would be great if you
- First-hand RBI reporting experience is a big plus
- First-hand experience with ControllerView / AxiomSL reporting platform
- Project experience in financial services or software development industries is a plus
