We believe our employees are the heart of our company. Our commitment to our customers and culture is intertwined, and we seek those who embody and embrace what it takes to empower the American dream.

Ready to make an impact? We're looking for an onsite intern to join our team for the 10-week Summer 2027 Internship Program (May 17 - July 23, 2027) at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 23.

WHO WE ARE

Live Oak Bank is the nation's largest SBA 7(a) lender, and we back the people who build small businesses across America. Our Marketing team tells those stories. If you are curious, organized, and eager to learn how marketing works inside a fast-moving bank, we would like to meet you. No banking background required — just bring your energy and your ideas.

HOW THIS ROLE IMPACTS LIVE OAK AND ITS PEOPLE

Marketing is how small business owners first meet Live Oak. The work you do here helps a restaurant owner in Ohio or a veterinarian in Arizona understand that capital is within reach. That is the impact: real businesses funded, real jobs created.

As a Marketing Intern, you are a working member of the team, not an observer. Your projects are assigned because they matter, and your work reaches customers, prospects, and colleagues across the bank. You will see how marketing connects to lending, deposits, product, and technology, and you will build relationships with people who are invested in your growth.

Live Oak people take care of each other. You will be paired with a manager and a mentor, included in team meetings, and given the context behind the work.
