As a Transactions Specialist II in Cash Services, you process high-volume transactions, complete reconciliations, and resolve exceptions to support accurate and timely client outcomes. You work with internal partners to investigate breaks, follow documented procedures, and help improve daily operational controls. You contribute to a culture of quality, risk awareness, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Process daily cash service transactions accurately and within defined service level expectations
- Reconcile transaction activity and identify variances, breaks, or exceptions
- Investigate and resolve exceptions by researching records, tracking root causes, and documenting outcomes
- Validate data quality and complete required checks in accordance with procedures and controls
- Escalate issues, aging items, and operational risks in a timely and well-documented manner
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate resolution of transaction inquiries and operational requests
- Maintain clear records, logs, and evidence to support audit, reporting, and control requirements
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support updates to procedures and job aids
- Support cross-training and knowledge sharing to maintain consistent team coverage and performance
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Transaction processing experience in an operations environment (TBD minimum years)
- Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and complete work with strong attention to detail
- Ability to reconcile activity, identify exceptions, and complete basic root-cause analysis
- Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, email, and document tools)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and sustain accuracy in a high-volume workflow
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting outcomes and escalating issues
- Ability to work effectively with internal partners in a process-driven environment
- Commitment to a control-focused mindset, including accurate recordkeeping and timely escalation
- Availability to work the required schedule for the role (TBD schedule/shift; TBD on-site/hybrid expectations)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience supporting reconciliations, exception management, or investigations in cash-related operations
- Experience using workflow tools or case management systems to track and resolve items
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives (e.g., updates to procedures, checklists, or job aids)
- Experience working in a role with defined service levels and quality metrics
- Familiarity with operational risk concepts (e.g., controls, documentation, escalation)
- Experience supporting team coverage through cross-training or peer support
