Overview

The purpose of the role is to support OTC Derivatives and Foreign Exchange business ensuring that each derivative transaction is affirmed, confirmed and the documentation executed accurately and in a timely manner therefore, managing internal risk. While building and retaining a strong external client focused connectivity and perspective of the market environment, the candidate should be cognizant of market development and requirements while meeting Individual client and regional Service Level Agreement requirements. Local DB branch regulatory requirements, as they apply to the client, will be observed at all times while catering to client sensitivity and specific requirements.

The incumbent will be responsible for trade processing of Derivative products for the Global Rates, Global Credit Trading and  FX Option for all Asia Entities & London, Frankfurt and New York Branches of Deutsche Bank AG.

Your key responsibilities

  • Reviewing client-signed, client-drafted, and returned confirmations against the DB drafted confirmation, booking system, term sheet, deal ticket, trade recap, and other supporting evidence.

  • Performing first- and second-level independent reviews of economic terms, legal language, trade identifiers, client details, signatures, and required approvals before confirmation execution.

  • Identifying economic, documentation, or language discrepancies and coordinating timely investigation and resolution with clients, Chasing, Drafting, Trading, Sales, Middle Office, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Acting as a client-facing contact for outstanding confirmations, document queries, mark-ups, disputed terms, and requests for additional evidence, while maintaining clear, professional, and timely communication.

  • Following up with counterparties to obtain signed or counterparty-prepared confirmations within applicable service-level and regulatory timelines, and escalating aged or high-risk items as required.

  • Ensuring confirmations are independently received from and dispatched to authorized client contacts, with appropriate segregation of duties and adherence to authentication, confidentiality, and operational-control requirements.

  • Maintaining a complete and accurate audit trail in the relevant workflow systems, including review notes, supporting documents, discrepancy classifications, approvals, client correspondence, reviewer details, and execution status.

  • Monitoring daily queues and aged outstanding items, producing management information and escalation reports, supporting control testing and audits, and participating in system testing and process-improvement initiatives.

This role involves significant interaction with Trading, Sales, Finance, Middle Office, legal and compliance and a variety of internal and external clients to support the product mix.

Your skills and experience

  • Have an understanding of the trade life cycle

  • Bachelor’s degree, graduate of Banking and Finance – with good understanding of Investment Bank or Commercial Bank (preferably in FX and Derivatives area)

  • Highly motivated, self managed and proactive.

  • Understand the business requirements and get the things done with highest productivity

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
