This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with strong expertise in valuation control, corporate finance, equities valuation, derivatives, FX, investment management, or financial modelling who wants to combine hands-on technical ownership with team leadership and strategic impact.

In this role, you will stay close to the markets, lead complex valuation analysis, challenge pricing methodologies, and provide clear insights to senior stakeholders. Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and perform Independent Price Verification (IPV) across global portfolios, including equities, derivatives, FX, structured products, and other complex financial instruments

  • Act as a hands-on valuation expert, reviewing market movements, pricing models, valuation adjustments, and key valuation drivers

  • Provide clear, commercially relevant valuation insights to senior Finance, Risk, Front Office, and Quantitative stakeholders

  • Manage, coach, and develop valuation professionals, supporting technical growth, ownership, and high-quality execution

  • Partner with Trading, Risk, Product Control, Quantitative Strats, and Technology teams to challenge valuations and enhance pricing methodologies

  • Strengthen valuation governance, documentation, controls, and escalation processes across products and regions

  • Drive automation, analytics, and process improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase scalability

  • Support regulatory, audit, and governance requirements with robust analysis, evidence, and documentation

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve consistency, transparency, and efficiency across Valuation Control

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in valuation control, product control, corporate finance, equity valuation, market risk, investment management, financial modelling, or quantitative analysis

  • Solid understanding of financial products, ideally including equities, derivatives, FX, structured products, fixed income, or investment portfolios

  • Proven ability to review complex valuation topics and translate technical findings into clear business insight

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading colleagues in a technical finance or markets environment

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, VBA, SQL, Power BI, or data analytics tools is an advantage

  • Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar tools

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and Front Office partners

  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, automation, and building high-performing teams

Why join us?

  • Step into a true player-coach role where you can combine technical expertise with people leadership

  • Work on complex valuation topics across global markets and multiple asset classes

  • Partner directly with Trading, Risk, Quantitative, Finance, and Technology teams

  • Develop talent while shaping valuation standards and control practices

  • Lead automation and transformation initiatives that create real business impact

  • Build your career in a collaborative, international environment that values expertise, ownership, innovation, and professional growth
