Accident & Health Claims Managernew

Chubb New Zealand is looking for an Accident & Health Claims Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality claims services across corporate and leisure A&H portfolios. 

This role provides technical, operational, and people leadership, managing complex claims, developing team capability, and driving continuous improvement across claims operations.

 

What you’ll own

• Leading the assessment and management of large and complex A&H claims within delegated authority
• Providing technical guidance and decision support on escalated, non-routine, and sensitive claims matters
• Leading, coaching, and developing team members to build capability and sustained high performance
• Monitoring and improve claims performance through data, reporting, and operational insights
• Overseeing claims operations for new A&H products, including vendor liaison and process improvement
• Building and maintain effective working relationships across claims, underwriting, business services, and broker partners

 

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in accident, health, and complex travel claims
• Demonstrated ability to interpret policy wording and make complex claim decisions
• Experience managing a team
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes, contracts, and NZ A&H coverages
• Understanding of NZ legal and regulatory requirements relevant to insurance claims
• Ability to work effectively with overseas technical and claims teams
