Your Role

The Network Performance Analysis and Contracts team focuses on provider network performance analysis, reporting, and consulting. The Data Analyst-Health, Principal role will report to the Senior Director, Provider Services-Network. In this role you will provide consultative services and support for various strategic and tactical initiatives and projects. This role will provide complex analysis for insight and recommendation and collaboration with various business units as a thought partner and expert.

Your Work 
In this role, you will:

  • Lead projects end-to-end, working with the client and stakeholders, and delivering the outcomes expected
  • Interact with stakeholders, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
  • Consult with all levels (including senior management), making recommendations, and influencing decision making
  • Collaborate with various business units as a thought partner and expert: Work cross-functionally in analyzing, designing, and developing business solutions
  • Participate and collaborate with cross-functional workgroups; support other internal teams such as Contracting, Provider Partnerships, Delegation Oversight, and Provider Operations in developing strategies for improving overall processes, data integrity, and new mandates/regulatory requirements impacting provider networks
  • Provide complex analysis for insight and recommendation: Synthesize from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods for management review and present to various levels of management
  • Summarize findings and present data in formats such as Excel pivots, PowerPoint, Tableau, reports, grids, and tables
  • Determine key business issues, develop effective action plans, and implement them to successful conclusion
  • Facilitate and manage the roll-out of operational process changes within the team; develop required training documentation, provide mentoring, and facilitate training sessions in support of a successful roll-out 
  • Develop deliverables that are relevant and easily consumable that allow internal and external customers to receive the information intuitively; provide consultation services to customers on an ad hoc basis or in a formal presentation format

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree. A Master’s degree (MPH, MBA, MS, MA) is preferred
  • Requires 10 years of experience in Health Care (managed care, academic, or government payer)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (i.e. ability to model, use formulas, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Access (i.e. link tables, run queries, etc.), Tableau, and SAS is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation skills. Including previous experience in presenting to leaders
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations to act
  • Ability to influence leaders and stakeholders with no direct reporting relationship
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and with little direction
  • Broad knowledge of project management is preferred


Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
