Great opportunity to develop within a Program Management Team. The role sits within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Governance and Program Management environment, supporting programme management for CIB Finance and Risk across line of business programmes and projects.
As a Project Manager Associate, the role supports broad programme, project and process agendas. The position works on projects related to Finance, Risk, operational processes and regulatory change across multiple businesses and functions within the Corporate and Investment Bank. The role is focused on providing effective project management support and helping drive execution of key initiatives.
Job responsibilities
- Support the Cross Functional, Legal Entity Strategy and Risk Change Management agenda, including the implementation of regulatory programmes and projects.
- Set up and implement projects throughout the lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing phases.
- Create and manage key project documentation, including business requirements, project timelines, RAID logs and other project-related materials.
- Follow the GPM Minimum Control Points framework, ensuring deliverables from project start to closure, including Statement of Work, governance structure and lessons learned.
- Manage communication of status updates to stakeholders and senior management through scorecards and tracking of milestones and critical paths. Update the myPM project reporting tool.
- Coordinate working group meetings and Steering group meetings, including setting agendas, preparing meeting materials using PowerPoint/Pitch-Pro, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items.
- Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders in different businesses supported by the team, including Risk Organisation, Finance, Business Management, Technology and Operations.
- Partner with stakeholders by providing guidance and analysis, helping identify and escalate issues, risks and dependencies, and facilitating communication across impacted teams.
- Partner with Technology to ensure design and build requirements meet business needs, including coordinating, planning and overseeing testing execution across all lines of business, as required for technology-impacted projects.
- Leverage automation and innovation tools to deliver project deliverables and execution as appropriate.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant working experience.
- Prior experience in a change management or project management role.
- Project management experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships across teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities.
- Attention to detail, particularly in written communications.
- Good time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks.
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint/Pitch-Pro and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Project Management qualification, such as CAMP, PMP, PRINCE2 or APM.
