As a Rates Derivatives Regulatory Reporting Analyst within the Rates Trading team, you manage complex product coverage and shifting priorities to help deliver accurate, timely regulatory reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Compare reporting exceptions against risk management systems and Commodity Futures Trading Commission reporting requirements.
- Remediate reporting issues within required regulatory rewrite service level agreements.
- Escalate unissued or unexecuted documents promptly and with clear supporting detail.
- Enhance current processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support timely reporting.
- Educate middle office partners on incorrect booking practices and their downstream impacts.
- Strengthen working relationships with internal counterparts, including middle office and trading.
- Resolve issues through investigation and follow-through in line with business standards.
- Produce weekly management information and monthly control packs for senior management.
- Interpret management information to identify trends, spikes, and emerging risks.
- Execute testing that supports system enhancements, project implementations, and new business initiatives.
- Recommend control improvements by identifying gaps that affect efficiency, effectiveness, and reporting timelines.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Demonstrate strong partnership abilities across internal counterparts.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Manage high complexity in product coverage while shifting workload with changing priorities.
- Perform effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and control focus.
- Apply strong numeracy in day-to-day analysis and reporting activities.
- Use excellent keyboard skills and strong computer literacy to work efficiently and accurately.
- Recognize the financial and control risks that can result from operational errors.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Bring knowledge of North America regulations relevant to derivatives reporting.
- Apply rates derivatives product knowledge to support accurate exception analysis and remediation.
- Show regulatory experience relevant to derivatives reporting and controls.
- Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
